What can I do to prevent problems logging in or viewing your web site?
The #1 thing would be to keep your browser version current... i.e. Update your web browser at least when updates are available.
Other things that help: By default, Internet Explorer and other browsers cache the web files and pictures you see on the screen, rather than re-downloading them if you click the back button or go to a page you've already viewed. In theory, this can speed up your browsing experience but there are times that a newer version of the page you are viewing is available, but your browser continues to show you an older version of it. Fortunately this is easy to fix. For Internet Explorer in all modern versions of Windows, click on the Internet Options icon in the Control Panel and click on the Advanced Tab on the right. If you scroll down to the bottom, there is an option to delete your temporary files when you close your browser. It's a good idea to have this box checked on any computer. It may slow down your browser a bit to load a page the first time, but it's not worth the problems it can cause in the long run. Click here for a picture of the option that needs to be changed. If you're not using IE, then in your Options or Preferences, you should be able to find the setting.

The right side of my Batch Detail or File Acknowledgement (or other Report page) is cut off when I print it.
The right side of my Batch Detail or File Acknowledgement (or other Report page) is cut off when I view it.
When designing the Batch Detail and File Acknowledgement report, we tried to make a compromise
between everything fitting on the screen and using large, easily readable text. We feel that what you see should
work under most circumstances. If you are missing a portion of the screen when you print it, check
your margins and set them to the minimum (usually about 1/4 inch) in your web browser's page setup,
(usually found under the File menu... under Page Setup, or possibly Print Setup.)
Usually your web browser will remember these settings and use them next time. Under the
rarest circumstance, printing your page sideways (landscape, instead of portrait) would
show more of the right side. What you see when printing is unrelated to the screen resolution
or the size of the web browser window.
The right side of my Batch Detail or File Acknowledgement (or other Report page) is cut off when I view it.
The Batch Detail and File Acknowledgement report present a lot of information. If the uploaded file
is huge and the amounts are large, this can make the information expand horizontally where it is possible
that some of the information could scroll off the right side of the screen. This can be compounded
by the following situations:
- If you have a display resolution of less than 800x600 (usually due to a monitor of 15 inches or less) or
- if you have a web browser that is sized too small horizontally, or
- if you have additional panes open on your browser (like Search or Favorites)
- if your browser fonts are set to something bigger than default.
I don't like the size of the text in my web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc).
There is a message at the top of some screens in red saying my browser isn't wide enough.

Recommended minimum browser versions to access our site:
For security and improved performance, you should always install the latest version of your preferred web browser.
Most browsers can change the text size of browser text. In Internet Explorer and Netscape, click the
View menu and select Text Size. In older versions of Netscape, View... Increase/Decrease Font...
In Opera, click View... Zoom... and select a percent.
There is a message at the top of some screens in red saying my browser isn't wide enough.
On some screens that potentially show a lot of information, like InterceptEFT Reporting and some File Upload screens, you may
see a nag message indicating your web browser isn't wide enough. To eliminate this message, simply resize your
web browser or maximize it. If this still does not resolve the message then you may have other issues:
- You may have a display resolution of less than InterceptEFT's minimum of 800x600 (usually due to a monitor of 15 inches or less). For more information on screen resolutions go here.
- Or you may have additional panes open on your browser (like Search, History or Favorites) that limit the viewable size that you can close.
Java Script is required? What is Java Script?
Java script is a programming language designed to work with any web browser on any operating system, i.e. Mac, Windows, Linux, etc. Chances are pretty good you already have it on your PC. You can check to see if you have JavaScript installed here. JavaScript is a free download from
Sun Microsystems. At InterceptEFT, Java Script is used for validation for information you enter in forms, calendars to pick dates, popup messages.
Recommended minimum browser versions to access our site:
- Internet Explorer 7 or higher for Windows
- Although Netscape 9.x or higher appears to work, support ended in 2008
- FireFox 2 or higher for all platforms
- Safari 3 or higher
- Chrome 8 or higher
- Camino for OSX
- Konqueror for Linux
- Opera 10.6 or higher for all platforms
For security and improved performance, you should always install the latest version of your preferred web browser.
The minimum screen resolution to use your site is 800 x 600? How do I check or change that?
Screen resolution is screen size of the computer video card. A screen resolution of 800 pixels wide by 600 high is common on 15 inch crt monitors. A higher setting will show everything smaller, making text difficult to read if you choose a resolution too high, but more information will fit on the screen. Common resolutions for people without visual problems: 15 inch monitor: 800x600, 17 inch: 1024x768, 19 inch: 1152x864. Older monitors may not be able to view higher resolutions. Monitor size is measured across the screen diagonally. New flat-panel LCD screens will measure exactly, but when measuring the older CRT monitors, you need to subtract about 1 inch since part of the picture tube is behind the outside trim.
- To check your settings on a Windows PC with Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000 or Xp, click on Start... Settings... Control Panel... Display. Then click on the Settings tab at the top. Windows will tell you if you need to reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.
- For Mac users, click on Apple Menu... Control Panels... You should see Monitors & Sound or
Monitors.
For Monitors & Sound: Open the Monitor icon. From the list of available resolutions, select the resolution you wish to use. Your screen resolution will change instantly. Close the Monitors & Sound window.
For Monitors: Ensure that the Show pull-down menu option is set to Recommended. From the list of available resolutions, select the resolution you wish to use. Your screen resolution will change instantly. Close the Monitors window.
